Two clients have recently contacted me about website changes because of images. Luthernet, unlike ANY other web designer / host, will make one image update per year for free. The one business no longer employed a person in the photo. The owner was concerned about customer perception, so I changed the photo. While no one had asked about it, you can see that the assumption would be that the employees in the photos are all currently working for the company.

The second change was for a church that was getting people to show up at the wrong time for services. The pastor felt that the image I was using on the main page was being seen as the current schedule, even though the text on the page gave the proper schedule. I hadn't even thought about it, but it's true that people tend to simply look at photos online, and if there happens to be a former employee or an old schedule represented in the photos, users may be confused.
